Our Morning

Ava and Brendan enjoy a little time together before Ava has to leave for school. As you can tell by Brendan's smile, he loves it when Ava gives him attention. Today is an extra special day for Ava at school because it is her snack day and her day to be the "special helper". This is definately a big deal!
After we dropped Ava off at school it was just me and Brendan for a few hours of one on one fun.

Ava's Gifts

A couple days ago Ava asked is she could use some wrapping paper. I gave her some leftover Christmas paper not knowing what she wanted it for. She had picked out some of her toys on her own and wrapped them. She told me that she wants to give them to kids who don't have a lot of toys. I think that she did a great wrapping job. She even made a card and decorated some of the packages. I put the gifts in a bag and everyday since then she has been asking when we are going to deliver them to the kids. I am proud of her for having such a big heart.

Playing at Elsie's

Today we visited Jessie and Matt. Jessie made some delicious pizza for dinner. Here is my little niece. Isn' t she adorable!
Here is Brendan sitting with his cousin. They are about the same size and three months apart!
Oh, Elsie wants to give Brendan's leg a little pinch. I don't know if Brendan is happy about this.

A Snowy Day Good for Baking

Today was snowy and cold so Ava and I stayed inside and make oil and vinegar chocolate cake. It turned out very good! We have been baking a lot since my Mother made me a cookbook for Christmas. So far besides the cake we have made snickerdoodles and butternut chewies. Thank you for the tasty memories mom! We love you.

Sara The Dog

This is Ava with our dog Sara. She is a two year old lab. She is still very hyper- especially when we have company..
but as you can see, she is very loved.

Ava's Day

I took some pictures of Ava at Preschool today. She goes three mornings a week from 9:00 to 11:30. She loves it! It is also preparing her for a full day of kindergarten next year. ( I don't want to think about it. )
In this picture Ava is telling the weather. As you can see it is rainy today.

After Preschool Ava drew some pictures on some thank you cards that we are going to send out for some Christmas Presents she received. Brendan was happily watching.
Ava is using the markers and crayons that Grandma and Grandpa H sent her. Thank You!

A January Walk

The weather was so nice today that we just had to go for a walk.

Ava took lots of pictures on the walk. She is becoming quite the photographer.
Here we are at the river!
We saw lots of ducks but they were to far away to feed. This group of ducks kept disappearing under water. I would look up and they were there. I would look away for a minute and then they would be gone and then I would see them pop back up again one by one. It was quite comical.

Ava picked out all the prettiest rocks that she could find. She even brought some home.

These ducks are enjoying the weather.

Lazy Day

Today was pretty uneventful. I spent most of the day cleaning the house while Paul kept the kids busy. Ava spent time coloring.























Brendan enjoyed looking at his mobile in his bassinet.

The Cold River

After I picked Ava up from Preschool we went to see the ducks in the river. Every year there is a large group of ducks that don't fly south. We did see them swimming but it was to windy so we just stayed long enough to snap a few pictures. We'll come back next week to feed them when we are supposed to have nicer weather.

Grandma and Grandpa G

My Mom, Rick and my brother Russell came over last night. We had a good time although Brendan didn't want to wake up for Grandma. Grandma played a song for Ava on her keyboard. Ava thought that was cool. I added some pictures of my beautiful baby boy.

Fun at Jenny's House

Here is Ava and her Cousin Josie. Maybe later I'll post the video of them singing Twinkle Twinkle.

On Sunday we went over to Jenny and Brad's because Dad and Glenda and Theresa came up to visit. I like this picture of Brendan with his Grandpa and Grandma S. He is smiling so much more now. It melts my heart.




I Love Ava's Digital Camera and the software that came with it. I added some frames to a couple pictures. There is Theresa and Brendan and I love the one of Russell.
